Prof. R. P. Mohanty has been conferred upon the life time achievement award by Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) on the occasion of diamond jubilee convention on 27th september 2018. The award was given by the former president of mauritius . Many of his former students felicitated him also on the said event.
