Founder of the first institutional system (executive, educational, research and legislative) in the modern history of the Romanian state; Author of the “reference” books: “Future in the Carpathians”, “Mountain Civilization”, “The mountains and the 21st Century. Comparative study of the European strategies regarding the mountain areas with special reference to the area of the Romanian Carpathians”, with international echo; ● Main author of the “Mountain Law”, no. 197/2018; ● Positions held: Secretary of State - Romanian Mountain Area Commission (1990 - 1992); General Director of the National Mountain Area Agency (MADR /1994-2002); ● Director (founder) of the “Centre for Mountain Economy”/“Costin C. Kiri?escu” National Institute of Economic Research/Romanian Academy (2008 - 2020); Eligible positions: President/Romanian Mountain Forum (2003-2020); President/Co-president of the “National Mountain Council” (2010 - 2018); Vice President of “Euromontana” (1996 - 2004); Senator of “Euromontana” (2005 - 2020…); Expert of the Union of Chambers of European Experts - Brussels; Author of multiple agro-rural - mountain development projects, implemented (France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Ukraine, European Commission, World Bank). Author of the Sustainable Mountain Development Project of the Carpathian Mountains (5 states)/Council of Europe - 1994 (received an award); ● Author of the definition of “MONTANOLOGY”, as a new, evolving science (world priority), with internal and international recognition; Decorated with the National Order “The Star of Romania” with the rank of Knight (2000).

Prof. Hongmei Yang, Deputy Dean of RICE, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, Thailand

Ph.D. from the National Institute of Development and Management in Thailand, a distinguished professor at Henan University of Economics and Law, has served as a number of corporate executives in Beijing and the head of the admissions department of the International School of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.Her team actively supports the academic activities of IETI and IRIEM. She is also the Associate Editor of "IETI Transactions on Social Sciences and Humanities".
