Dr. Yi Li (PhD, FRSA, FHEA) is an Associate Professor in Discipline of International Business, at the University of Sydney Business School. His research interests include internationalization of firms in emerging economy, institutional approaches of business strategy, and dynamic evolution of control in international joint ventures. Yi received his Bachelor Degree with Honours at University of International Business and Economics, and his Ph.D. in International Business from the Australian National University. Before joining the Discipline in 2017, he was the International Research Fellow in China Europe International Business School, which ranks Top 20 in the world. His work has been published or forthcoming in journals such as Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Journal of World Business, Regional Studies, Global Strategy Journal, International Business Review, Management International Review, Journal of Business Research, Technovation,Asia Pacific Journal of Management and others. As the Winner of 2019 Early Career Researcher Award in the University of Sydney Business School, He has won national competitive research grants such as National Natural Science Foundation of China Grant. Since 2020, He has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He has been a Fellow of the Higher Educational Academy (FHEA) since 2022. In 2023, he won the Young Researcher Award in the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI). He currently serves as Postgraduate Research Coordinator in Discipline of International Business, Deputy Director in Emerging Markets Research Group, Associate Editor for Communication in Journal of International Management (ABDC: A), Reviewing Editor of Asia Pacific Journal of Management (ABDC: A), Associate Editor of Nature: Humanities & Social Science Communication (The only Nature Journal in Social Science; SSCI Indexed), and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Management Studies (ABDC: C).
